Role Overview
The Growth and Engagement Lead will be responsible for leading Shea Shine’s digital footprint, building an engaged community, and driving customer loyalty. This role combines social media strategy, content creation oversight, digital marketing campaigns, customer relationship management, and community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Management
Create and execute monthly social media calendars aligned with brand goals.
Manage daily posting, engagement, and platform growth (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube).
Track performance analytics and optimise content strategy.
Collaborate with designers and creators for high-quality visual storytelling.
2. Digital Marketing & Growth
Plan and run digital ads (Meta, TikTok, Google), optimising for conversions.
Manage email marketing flows, newsletters, abandoned cart automation, and CRM journeys.
Monitor website funnels, landing pages, and product pages for improved conversions.
Analyse campaign performance and provide monthly growth reports.
3. Community Building & Engagement
Develop community initiatives such as live sessions, skincare education series, customer appreciation campaigns, and wellness conversations.
Build and manage a strong skincare community across all platforms.
Respond to comments, messages, and customer inquiries in a warm, helpful, and brand-aligned tone.
4. Customer Relationship Management
Own the customer experience journey from first contact to repeat purchase.
Maintain and grow the customer database, segment audiences, and personalise communication.
Track feedback, reviews, and customer sentiment to inform product development and brand messaging.
Coordinate after-sales follow-up, ensuring customers feel seen, valued, and supported.
5. Brand Representation & Storytelling
Translate Shea Shine’s mission, values, and emotional depth into compelling digital narratives.
Ensure brand consistency across every channel and interaction.
Identify culturally relevant conversations and trends to join authentically.
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, brand building, or community management—preferably in beauty, wellness, or consumer brands.
Strong understanding of the Nigerian digital landscape and buying behaviours.
Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling abilities.
Experience with CRM tools, email marketing platforms, Meta/TikTok ads, and analytics dashboards.
Creative thinker with the ability to translate insights into content and campaigns.
Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-growing, mission-driven startup.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Basic content editing (Canva, CapCut, Lightroom, etc.).
Experience managing influencer partnerships.
Understanding of SEO and blog content strategy.
Passion for skincare, wellness, and women-focused brands.
